I´ll update the OP somewhat to reflect this. One last point may be worth mentioning, although it may not apply to your situation. When I began using Sheepshaver, I had lots of trouble with apps appearing as plain document files. IIRC, all I had to do was copy them from the shared "UNIX" drive in Sheepshaver to a local Sheepshaver drive before attempting to unstuff, run, or use any type of file. I was running Sheepshaver on a Mac running OS X, so I'm not sure if this applies in quite the same way to running it in Windows.Įither way, its worthwhile to be aware that you should never be running apps or using files within Sheepshaver while they reside on the Sheepshaver share drive. Always use Sheepshaver to copy the app or file to a local drive using Finder within Sheepshaver first.
